This time, as a special edition, we will show you how to make Horror Thomas, that is, a robotic Thomas with amazing eyes.
↓Here’s how to make it↓
I will teach you the steps to make it step by step.
The first step is to purchase a mask of the masquerade Thomas. Masks are surprisingly expensive when bought new, so I recommend getting one at a thrift store. In my case, I bought mine at a thrift store for about 200 yen. By the way, I know this is a little late, but I’m short on cash. So I’m trying to spend as little money as possible, and the cost of making this horror Thomas was about 400 yen.
The second step is to attach the Kikansha Thomas mask to the bicycle basket. To attach it, drill holes in the four corners of the mask and thread a tie wrap through the holes to tie it to the basket. There is a key point here: do not tighten the tie wrap too tightly, as tightening it too much may cause the mask to crack. Therefore, we recommend tightening it a little tighter rather than closing it with all your strength.
The third step is to get a pair of shiny glasses, which can be won at festivals or other events.
↓Something like this↓
It costs about 700 yen and can be purchased online. In my case, I happened to pick it up on the ground when I went to a slightly larger festival, so it didn’t cost me anything.
The fourth step is to attach the glasses mentioned earlier. To attach them, secure them to the basket from the back with a tie wrap (see the photo below).
↓It looks like this↓
Cost to make: Thomas mask 220 yen; cable ties 110 yen; bicycle attachment 12 yen; glowing items (glowing glasses) 0 yen
And so it’s complete. This will vary depending on the lights you attach, but the lights I attached change to various colors. I hope you enjoy that as well. I’ve attached a photo of the finished product at the end. Please give it a try!
Thank you for watching until the end!
